Put Sunshine & Wind to Work

Download Teacher's Guide The Put Sunshine & Wind to Work activity increases students’ awareness of ways they can use less electricity and natural gas by harnessing the power of the sun and wind.

Ask students to put a check by all the actions that they already do, and a star by at least three that they can commit to doing this week. Ask students to share this list with their family and friends.

Extension: Ask students to think of more ideas for using energy sustainably by using wind and sun power.

Follow Up: Approximately a week later ask students how successful they were at putting sunshine and wind to work.
